Curriculum
The school, through a challenging and sequential curriculum, will foster in the children a perception of themselves as important individuals. Underpinning everything that happens within our school is our commitment to make the presence of Jesus obvious to everyone who enters our school. This belief is promoted through the way we treat each other, in our relationships and in the atmosphere of respect, co-operation and friendship.
Our school will be alert to recognise, encourage and nurture individual creativity to ensure that each child develops skills, strategies, knowledge, attitudes and values to make optimum use of their potential whilst being accepting of their own and others capabilities and limitations.
The curriculum will aim to develop an awareness and Christian compassion for all in our society and promote an unbiased view of world affairs.
Our school must ensure a curriculum and environment which encourages individuals and shared learning, placing emphasis on a balanced programme which will prepare the child for the changing employment and leisure patterns of the future.
We believe the curriculum must ensure a high standard of numeracy and literacy and encourage the continuing development of areas such as technology, science, physical education and the arts.
The school curriculum will provide a variety of experiences utilising the skills and talents of people within the school and wider community and drawing upon the richness of our culture, geographic and historical characteristics.
